Dana and the DNI Consulting team are busy this fall with various events and presentations. Here’s the quick low-down on some upcoming opportunities, followed by some information about recent exciting client work.
Program and Event Opportunities
If you are wishing you had a brain-trust small group of smart, trustworthy admission and marketing professionals to discuss topics of interest, please check out the details of The Assembly and grab a time here to talk more about it. Topics range from burnout to how to run a virtual event, from "managing up" to navigating difficult DEI conversations, from considering career changes to self-care during high stress periods. The groups are incredibly rich and rewarding. There are two cohorts of The Assembly running right now, and I plan to launch a third later this winter. The previous cohorts have filled quickly, so please don't delay in letting me know of your interest.
It's an honor to be a judge for the InspiredEd Brilliance Awards! The deadline to enter is October 28. Please consider entering your brilliant work!
I'm excited to be presenting at School Marketing Day with Finalsite on October 29. My session is titled "Building a Stable Applicant Pool in Uncertain Times: Using Psychographic Data to Inform Marketing Efforts" and attendance is free! Finalsite is offering 15 hours of workshops and training. It promises to be an exceptionally inspiring experience. Register here.
The Bay Area Directors of Admission consortium has created a shared kindergarten screening instrument that will launch this year. It has been a true labor of love, and I'm honored to have been part of it! Various members of our committee will be presenting at webinars with ISM, EMA, and AISAP in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes out, and feel free to reach out if you have questions or want to discuss this process.
Earlier this fall, Dana had the opportunity to present at the EMA Annual Conference as well as for a SchoolAdmin webinar. AISAP and Blackbaud events took place over the summer, where Dana presented, as well.
Recent Client Work
The summer and early fall presented all kinds of challenges for admission and marketing professionals, as you well know. It has been a great privilege to support schools in a variety of ways:
Lots of surveys!
Alumni surveys
Admission funnel surveys
Parent satisfaction surveys
Market research
Feasibility for a middle school to open a high school (web-based research and focus groups)
Feasibility for a K-5 school to open a middle school in partnership with the brilliant Chad Tew of LearnCollab.
Demographic and psychographic studies for schools from coast to coast.
Enrollment Office Optimization
Research and consulting to bring offices into the modern times of enrollment management as opposed to admission functions, including bi-weekly coaching for the staff.
Support regarding virtual event planning, work-flow, partnering with teachers and education about best practices.
Small-group Mastermind Facilitation
The first cohort of The Assembly began in early July, and the second launched in early September. We meet virtually, bi-weekly.
This small-group mastermind of trusted, smart, committed professionals is a facilitated braintrust. We discuss everything from tactics to strategy, from career trajectory to leadership concepts.
There is an interest list going for the third cohort and we’ll start in early winter.
It’s a busy time for us all!
